Alright, stop whatever it is you’re doing. Wherever you are, stop reading this immediately. Ashley Wood just announced that there’s yet ANOTHER variant to Bertie the Pipebomb! This one (dubbed Zombies Vs. Robots Bertie) is only available from the IDW store starting today. Even more maddening is the fact that this figure is limited to 100. Wood put up the teaser poster a few days ago, but who knew that it would be another Bertie variant! Ashley is coming out with so many figures and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. I’ve been obsessed with this figure and the skull paint and great package art could make this one the raddest one yet. And with such extremely low quantities, he’s going to be an imposing piece for a select few. I’d love to see a Bertie accessories pack so I can also get the machete, zombie heads and net also. It’s based on the ZVR comic by Ashley and Chris Ryall (check out his interview with ToyCyte) and the attention to detail is incredible. So what’s next on the horizon for Wood? He teases “Expect a zombie soon. What good is a zombie fucker without a zombie?” Go to IDW to pre-order him ASAP.
