tsai-fi plush posse

tsai-fi (pronounced sci-fi) creates artwork that is “cute with a slightly evil twist.” That’s exactly the kind of stuff I like. I first saw her Drunken Mermaids at last year’s Felt Club. I bought this mirror which shows a drunken mermaid hunched over a toilet – the caption says “the morning after.” As soon as I saw it, I had to have it.

Other tsai-fi characters include Nerdy Birdy, Dust Bunnis, and Punched Drunk Cubs. All of the hand-made plushies are cute, but my favorite has to be the Nerdy Birdy. You can check out more of tsai-fi’s work at her Etsy shop. If you’re into cute and slightly evil, visit her on Myspace.

I'm a nerd who loves music, movies, graphic novels, and of course toys. I grew up in Los Angeles, and I currently live in the non-plastic part of Orange County. I'm a sucker for anything that is little and cute: plushies, Dunnys, Smorkin' Labbits, zipper pulls. My collection is dominated by Kozik and Uglydolls, and my latest obsession is IWG/Rocket World.
