Vinyl Toy Network preview: Cameron Tiede

We’re getting closer to the Vinyl Toy Network, and here is another glimpse at what we can expect. Cameron Tiede will be at the Pretty in Plastic booth, and he will also be available for a signing. VTN attendees will get a better look at his latest project, “Melvin.” Via email, he said he’ll show a prototype for the toy that will be available in June. From what I see in the outline, Melvin looks like an ugly-but-cute creature.
On his blog, he also gave early notice to his upcoming show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery. The show will take place June 6-29, 2008. La Luz is a small art gallery inside Wacko in Hollywood. If you’ve never been there, now you have a good reason to visit in June.

yes, i am planning on going to the show. i probably won’t make it to opening night, but i still want to see it.
i’m totally excited about the vinyl toy show! [stop snickering.] it’ll be VTN and then Comic-con in july.
