Travis Louie’s “Bride of Stan”

Beyond Toys, events

bride-of-stan Travis Louie’s paintings tend to evoke a weird reaction. Some of his half-human/half-creature beings make you shudder and look away. At the same time, you can’t help but stare at his work. He makes beautiful paintings that have a touch of creepy.

At San Diego Comic-Con, you’ll be able to find “Bride of Stan” at the Hi-Fructose Booth (#4939). Made by Pressure Printing, “Bride of Stan” is a hand printed intaglio etching, individually tea stained, and signed by the artist. It’s a Hi-Fructose exclusive that will debut at Comic-Con and will be available online at Hi-Fructose.

“Bride of Stan” will be limited to 50 pieces. You’ll also find Attaboy’s work at Hi-Fructose’s booth [blogged].

I'm a nerd who loves music, movies, graphic novels, and of course toys. I grew up in Los Angeles, and I currently live in the non-plastic part of Orange County. I'm a sucker for anything that is little and cute: plushies, Dunnys, Smorkin' Labbits, zipper pulls. My collection is dominated by Kozik and Uglydolls, and my latest obsession is IWG/Rocket World.
