Beyond Toys

You have toys on your shelves, you’re reading about toys right this second, and knowing you, you probably dream about toys. So why not let toys take over your TV too. You can have plastic, vinyl and their makers invade your living room with the documentary Toys Are Us: A Revolution in Plastic (the Director’s Cut) by X-Ray Films. The film features interviews with Frank Kozik, Patrick Ma (Rocketworld, IWG), Tara McPherson, Kano (Moneygrip), Erick Scarecrow (ESC Toy, Liberty), Mark Nagata (Max Toy Co., Captain Maxx), Brian Flynn (Super 7), Mars-1, Jermaine Rogers, J Neth and more.

What does the Director’s Cut edition include? Well “a longer cut of the film with even more great interviews and toys. It also features a host of new extras, including:

• TWO micro-featurette documentaries: “Toy Making 101″ and a “An Ancient History of Vinyl Toys,” which focuses on the history of Japanese vinyl toys, and their influence on vinyl toys today!

• Additional interview footage with Mars-1, Patrick Ma, Brian Flynn, and Frank Kozik–who takes viewers on a tour of his personal toy collection!”
