The Backstory
Qee was my gateway toy. Unique, edgy and collectible, the 2.5-inch Qee figures matched both my budget and my bungalow. In 2002, I was chained to a cubicle, staring at a screen for hours on end. Qee was my cure, and “QeeBay” was where I got my medicine. It was through the Toy2R platform that I found out about many of the artists I follow (and blog about) today: Dalek, Joe Ledbetter, Jon Burgerman, MCA, Touma, Brothersfree…Flash forward to 2008. I still collect Qee (as well as other figures nowadays), and the various pursuits of Toy2R continue to be worth chronicling and collecting.
The Bounty
Toy2R has generously offered to give a massive prize package to two lucky ToyCyte readers. There are two ways to win:

Post the URL where you linked to us in the comments section below in order to get credit (and hey, reciprocal linking is cool). The person who helps spread the word and brings the most visitors to ToyCyte between when the contest goes live and the deadline will win first prize. Why do I need these Qees? Well I love Toy2r, I’m a vinyl freak, and I’ve had to limit my intake after the purchase of a Van Orlax a few months back. This set of qees would rock and would force me to find a way to display my two inch qees, which I haven’t been able to figure out just yet.
On top of all that, if I won some of those potamus qees, my girlfriend would totally like them.

I need this to live. I have a rare and highly unusual biology where I need the vapors that come from new vinyl and assorted packaging to fill my lungs. I need that more than even oxygen. My condition has mystified many doctors and scholars. They wonder how I got this far when the vinyl toy movement is less than a decade old. I too am mystified. But you have a chance to keep me alive.

Since I have no idea how to link to a shared Facebook link, I’ll try the easy way. I don’t think I really knew what Qee were until about ten minutes ago and, honestly, I don’t have the space to put this much of anything in my personal space. However, my department (I’m a college animation student) has a a student lounge that looks like crap aqnd no one really wants to be in there. Winning this would mean a little something to brighten up that space a little and it can start being more of a lounge and less of an extra storage room.

I need these Qees because my mom never bought me toys when I was a kid. My next door neighbor was a brat who was always the first kid on the block to get the newest stuff. I had to get toys my own way. I was a little klepto for G.I. Joes. Yes, I admit it! I stole from my neighbor (hope he’s not reading). But when I grew out of it, I eventually sold all my G.I. Joes to him for a great price. I’m a good boy now. True story! Let me be the envy of my neighborhood for once lol! Gimme free Qees pleez! Have a great weekend.

I have to admit it now……. I’m a closet Vinyl toy lover. I’m 27, privately educated, british, old school up brining, constantly rep-remanded for being a big kid and I should grow up and always try to do the right thing…… The afore mentioned taken in to account are sufficient reasons to not be found out for having a deep love for all these amazing collectable toys and the associated art. First of all, I would be really really really happy, because I don’t have any vinyl toys at all, although I have been admiring them for a long time, and some of those You are giving away are actually the prettiest I have seen. Secondly, I am studying painting in university, and i would just love to give those DYI Qees a really stunning appearance (I would send You lots of pretty pictures too of course 
). Thirdly, I would so not want to just keep it to myself – of course I would give most of them to my friends. Even a fantastic collection kept to oneself cannot beat the joy of many people. Vinyl toys are really expensive in Estonia, and hard to find, my friends would be really happy. And finally – my BOYfriend would like them sooo much! 
I really think I should be the one to get those cuties, because in this case the biggest amount of people would be the happiest

To be honest I am not a fan of vinyl toy and less likely to collect some, but the thing is my sister was, is, and will always be a fan and collector of these cute toys. Eversince we were kids she would keep all my gifts and display it on her trophy cabinet as if her treasures. Now that she’s a mom already, I am not so sure if she can add these “collectibles” to her pretty tight budget. I love my sister and if there’s one set of toy that I am going to give her this season she’ll surely love it if i give her these Qee set. It is too early to say thanks but the idea itself of having a great contest that gives opporutnity for others to say what they feel is enough to give you guys a thumbs up!

Ahh! i need these so badly, i’m currently a design student at a state college, I’m paying for everything on my own along with being involved in a couple organizations which require dues. This has left me broke and unable to purchase vinyls, the only ones i have were gifts. I love vinyls and have even gotten a few people into them with the couple i own. I absolutely love qees, and whenever they are available, whether in comics stores, books store chains, or designer vinyl toy stores, I buy them. I collect them, and I have customized a few. this would be super awesome and I would deeply appreciate having these phenomenal Qee products.

But i also have a reason why i should get these! So my uncle has diabetes and has since he was about 13. He has always been there for me when my dad never was cuz he was always off doing his own thing. Didnt want to deal with a family. Anyways this last weekend i had to sell not only all my toys but literally everything i own to pay for his $12,000 hospital bill when he had an incilin(spelling?) reaction while driving on an overpass. He hit the back of a semi and did a barrel roll off the overpass onto the freeway below. Then got hit by to cars going opposite directions at the same time. I am really in need of more toys to kind of reconcile my toy soul. Well either way this is a good idea and i wish everyone luck!

Overall I don’t think many people DESERVE the lot more then they WANT it. I know a lot of kids that I play around with because of clubs like MORE and SMILES who would gladly give these toys to children.
but sadly enough they don’t usually know about stuff like vinyl or designer toys and even if they did the kids would usually mistaken them for cheap 3-Inch toys haha. I don’t need them but I’d like to have the 2nd set so I can give it to my cousin for his 1st birthday coming up and I’m pretty sure a big lot of toys would be nice for him and maybe he would collect when he becomes a bit older

I need these Qee because I just absolutely love them. I love them so much that I’m actually in the process of collecting them to fill the entire wall in my house. ahh! so many good prizes! ok, i need to win because of this. i first discovered vinyl toys in 2003 and i started buying qees. over the years, my collection has grown and changed over to anything vinyl i could get my hands on. for a while i was working next door to a store selling vinyl toys and i was constantly buying them. then-woe is me-i lost my job and haven’t been able to find decent work for about a year now. i can no longer afford to keep adding to my vinyl toy collection, and it kills me whenever new ones are released because i just can’t buy them anymore. help a poor girl out?

I want these. I’ve always wanted to start a vinyl collection, but I just don’t have the money for it. Sure, I have a couple of Dunny’s and some KidRobot toys… But it’s not enough to garner me what I really want – a legitimate collection to be proud of.
Also, if I do not win this contest, I will eat my pet rabbit for stew. Just to make this clear. My pet rabbit. I’ve named him Bugs Bunny. I’ve raised him since he’s been a baby. If loss, I will, in effect, be eating a stew made of Bugs Bunny.

because; my room is oh-so small. and i live a busy life, clutter doesn’t always take my fancy.
but i DO need something to look at when i get into one of those staring moods; and lets fcae it.. who likes to look at something boring that we’ve seen before.
and; i like to be different, the closest place to purchase them is the other side of the country (australia) and therefore, it is quite unlikely any people i know will have them.
and how about when i leave school?

I discovered the world of the designer toys with past qee, more precisely by baby qee DIY. Since I buy only this. I love custom this base because, I think it is splendid. But at present I cannot make this type of things any more because I have no more money and being to give that I am that a student I must make sacrifices. So Please, Help a French student. ^^

Qees, Qees everywhere. What a contest. I have been collecting now for 2 years. My collection is focused on the spooky and just plain cool. My girlfriend views my habit as a silly, childish, expensive way to reconnect with my childhood. I, like many vinyl addicts got hooked on the scene through Kidrobot’s Dunnys. However, pretty quick I noticed there were a number of other fantastic companies out there putting out killer toys with a consistent attention to quality, detail and variety. Toy2R has become a huge may stay of my collection, epically with the Artist seize like the phenomenal Dalek Qees (as you metioned I am short just 2- would love the set +). The varieties of the DYI products out are great. Other companies have 1 maybe 2 options but you’ve got the rainbow to choose from…. And how can you forget… Toy2R has the best Icon/logo toy ever- a skull boy? RAD. Any Toy2R swag you’d send my way would have a cherished place among the rest of my collection. Cheers.

Why I Should Win: I live an hour and a half from a store that sells designer toys so I can’t just go out and get toys. I have no friends that collect any kind of designer toys so i don’t get to share my excitement for toys with others. My only excitement comes from getting new toys. And i really really really like the kozik pieces that come as part of the prize package. Plus I am poor and I am not just saying that, just enough money for toys and food.
P.S. all the other people that posted are flippers and will sell what they win on the bay. But I on the other hand will keep and enjoy everything you give me.

Right now I have the most incredible collection of designer toys …it has absolutely NO piece, none, nada, zilch….or a lot of invisible ones (depending how you look at it). Even thogh viositors don’t try to show it I can tell they are a wee bit disapointed.
In order to give them what they want (a couple of true collectibles) I would really like to win these fine species. Eiher one , doesn’t mather…they will all be appreciated by me and my visitors.

I Like Toys. I Like them A lot. Been collecting them for over ten years now and some may say I have an illness. One thing I’ve learnt in this time is you need to appreciate the art of collecting. Saving you pennies to get that old school OmniBot gives you so much more pleasure then if it was just given to you.
So yeah I always want more toys, but not like this. It just seems dirty.

our record player plays at a wacky speed that can seemingly only be fixed by placing a z-bot that we found on top of the record while it’s playing… while this solution seems to regulate the speed pretty well, i think we would all love to see a different little Qee rotating around up there every day or so. and personally i think the Qee would do a better job. the z-bot’s been getting a little cheeky lately. so, basically, we nee the Qee for some hot vinyl-on-vinyl action.

Qees were my gateway toy too and what with the credit crunch the budget for vinyl has been severely reduced over the last months, and my little friends need more company, thought I would go for the sympathy vote, plus I live in London and it’s cold and wet and miserable and these colourful little critters will help brighten up the Autumn gloom.

I live in Australia and the only way I can get Qees is by ordering ridiculously overpriced (and already opened blind box) toys on eBay. I even convinced my parents to go to Hong Kong for their anniversary and take me along, just so I could stock up!

why? … cause they’re cool … i’m addicted to toys … they’re cool … i don’t have many vinyl toys … they’re cool … this would be a kick ass way to start another spiral down into the depths of toy collection madness …
finally, the incompetence of the @#$%! asshats that import toys into this country (south korea) is only matched by the extremely narrow, insanely limited products offered … so i’m currently stuck with “out of stock” and “no results” …
plus, this may make up (a little) for my toy deprived childhood … ;b

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again … Thanks Jeremy, and the rest of the Toycyte contributors … Toycyte is shaping up to be one of the must see sites for vinyl and plastic fiends …. I would show them in my brick and mortar, to give customers a glimpse of the Toy2r product span … unfortunately it is hard to stock Toy2R due to large minimums and shipping is $$$$ from China/HK. Keep up the good fight .. long live vinyl … it will be here when even the cockroaches and styro-faom have been decimated.

I only own about 3 in total because every time my little sister and brother are brought to visit I end up giving them away. Ok SOOOO id LOVE to win these things because i actually wana have some toys that are artist inspired and kick ass!!

It was Toy2R figurines that got me through the endless work days and it’s my hope that this giveaway take me out of this misery. I need all of them because I don’t have any of them except 8-inch Hellboy Qee. ^_^
If I could only choose few of them, I would choose Mutafukaz, 8-inch DIY Toyer and 8-inch Hellboy. I want Mutafukaz because I love the design of them. I think Mutafukaz series is one of the best Qee series. However, I cannot find any of them on the ebay recently. I want 8-inch DIY Toyer because it is the symbol of the Toy2R and I love its face. I want one more Hellboy Qee because I cannot get enough of Hellboy. If you see my deviantart and flickr, you would know what I mean. I want to collect this Hellboy masterpiece from Toy2R, so I need two of them. One for collection, the other for display. Thank you so much for taking your time to read through this. ^_^

why do i need more qees?
well, just like you, qees were my gateway toy and to this day i still love them.
toy2r makes some of the best toys out and their quality is always top notch.
i need these qees, because nobody can have enough qees.

I need this stuff ’cause I had a fat a$$, and the stuff is so cool, idiots from around town will chase after me trying to steal it from me. So, I’ll have no choice but to run or ride a bike, which will get me in real good shape and make my a$$ smaller, which I’m sure the ladies will be into. Plus, if need be, it’s so much stuff I can drop a couple things here and there to divert attention, in case I need a few seconds time to change course… and even if I did that, I would still have a huge collection left when I finally make it back to my cave, to lie down and sleep (after doing my tick check and eat my pop tarts and watch Gumby, etc)
FURTHERMORE I still have open shelf space. I mean, c’mon.
