ToyCyte: Toy Culture Collected

Toy2R begins its American tour with a pop-up store in my own birthplace of Brooklyn, NY. Unfortunately, I now live 3000 miles away, but Toy2R assures us that this is merely the first of many pop up stores fans will see sprouting up across the country. Kudos to Toy2R for noticing that the U.S. needs CHANGE, but it also needs Potamus.

The first pop up store event begins November 7th at 6PM EST and runs through the 16th in Brooklyn, NY. Toy2R is partnering up with DBA Brooklyn, the borough’s newest lifestyle boutique specializing in deadstock, vintage, rare and specialty footwear for men and women as well as street apparel, toys and lifestyle goods!

This limited engagement event will kick off with several new releases from Frank Kozik. For many, this will be the first chance collectors will get to pick up the new 2.5″ Redrum Qee series, Potamus collection and the holiday inspired Merry Mini Bomb Gold and Silver Set! There will also be several other surprises and Toy2R Qee stock on hand for fans to complete their Kozik (Qee bears, mini bombs, etc.) and Qee collections, such as the new redesigned 8-inch DIY series, the 1.5-inch Metallic Mini Qee zipper pull collection, the 2.5-inch DIY series and many other items.

DBA will be getting the party started Friday night at 6PM with music by DJ Erick LaPeau and DJ Ryo at 454 Dean St, Brooklyn, NY 11217. So get your holiday started off right, and head over to DBA for the first Toy2R pop up event, and score some sweet stuff. There will also be some surprise drawings that you won’t want to miss, so get there! Wish I could!
