I have exciting news for Andrew Bell fans. He finished production on The Giver, and the vinyl figures will hit the toy stores in late July/early August. He also drops this hard-to-miss hint: “or if you’re in San Diego you might be able to find a few of them a bit earlier.” He promises more updates as the date gets closer.
The “standard editions” will be “The Giver: Freezer Burn” (left) and “The Giver of Disease: Gangrene.” Each edition will be available in a limited edition of 300. The sneak preview of the Gangrene box (right) gives us an idea of what the colorway will be. I liked the pictures of the red colorway, but the ice blue edition is even better. For me, it’s all about the clear blue flame.
I love a product with nice packaging, and The Giver does not disappoint. Both boxes look great, and I’m looking forward to seeing them at Comic-Con.
