Since last week, there was been some buzz about Mattel’s Dark Knight: Joker action figures. Some toys stores are already sold out of the Heath Ledger look-alike figure. There are those who say that the toys may be too creepy for kids. Rumor has it that Mattel will have a re-designed Joker before The Dark Knight is released.
A lot of fans were stunned by Heath Ledger’s untimely death. I’m sure a lot of people would want this item as a collectible. Then, there are those who want to capitalize on the buzz. The action figures may be flying off the shelf, but they’re showing up quickly on ebay. If Mattel does re-issue a new Joker, the current Joker might be a collector’s item. It’s also possible that Mattel will release more figures to keep up with demand.
