Beyond Toys

Cans Film Festival Here at ToyCyte, we appreciate a good pun and a great secret. London’s Cans Festival is set to deliver on both. It begins with a riff on the French Cannes Film Festival and will end at a so-far undisclosed location in London. The concept? A 3-day (May 3, 4, 5) stencil-fest open to the public. Confirmed artists include Blek Le Rat and Banksy, but there’s room for you too if you observe a few rules:

  • Stencil only; no freehanding
  • Paint in designated areas.
  • Don’t go over other artists

Admission is free. Security is plentiful. Exact location will be revealed at 10:30AM today here.

UPDATE: The address has been revealed! Leake Street, London SE1 7NN. 3 minutes walk from the London Eye, nearest tube Waterloo. Open to the public from 10am Saturday until 10pm Monday.
