While many are nursing their NYCC hang-overs and applying band-aids to their blistered feet from all that damn walking and line waiting, I’m well rested but feeling quite depressed that I missed out on all the amazing NYCC exclusives. One of the items that I really wish I could’ve gotten my hands on was the MINDstyle’s hand-painted Mexican Red Bird figure by the amazingly talented Kathie Olivas, creator of paintings and sculptures of odd and curiously creepy child like creatures. Only 25 were made, and not one of the lucky buyers have put theirs on eBay for me yet. Alas.
