ToyCyte: Toy Culture Collected

Did you see the wickedly cool, haute and highfalutin collection of Tarina Tarantino jewelry that was done in collaboration with premiere toy purveyor Kidrobot?  If you didn’t, here’s the low down: accessories designer extrodinaire Ms. Tarantino mashed it up with artist Frank Kozik on a series of blind boxed Smorkin’ Labbit rings that were done blind box style. A PEECOL pendant and a necklace with a four inch Munny (that goes for $925, gulp) were also produced.

Now that Tarina has conquered toys, she is going after politics with her Liberty Loves Company line of non-partisan, political minded and playful jewelry. The line features images of Old Glory, Uncle Sam and Honest Abe. Kozik laden or not, Tarina’s pieces are making a statement.
