Both MINDstyle's "This One's For the Children of Sichuan" auction and Michael Lau's CSBOOTH15.5 have been rescheduled. Although it's not at all in the same ballpark, this is probably good for Michael Lau fans living in dry climates with dry wallets from the past couple weeks of CSBOOTH15 figure drops.

2D pictures really can't do Michael Lau's figure's justice, since their very shape and style are what makes them so unique. Due to the dirth of pictures of the SK3 figures online, I took my set down to an empty lot with a tagged up wall by the train tracks and shot some images.

Finally! Michael Lau’s CSBOOTH15 figures have landed on American shores. After posting about PHANTACi, I knew it was just a matter of days. Right now, Ningyoushi has the complete set. Actually, had. I was checking out the site and in a manner of minutes, the JORDON 049X sets were gone. So if you want the [...]

I’m waiting patiently to hear an update from Ningyoushi following their announcement that they’re going to sell Michael Lau’s CSBOOTH15 figures this month. I resisted the flipping of the SK3 set on eBay, but, if the price is fair, I’d really like to get it. News via Freshness is that PHANTACi, an urban lifestyle shop [...]

Hooray! Fans 1. Flippers 0. I’d had my trigger-finger near the Buy It Now auctions of a couple Hong Kong flippers on the Bay right after Michael Lau’s CSBOOTH15 ended. I’m not complaining about my job one bit, but it can be extremely difficult to pen post after post of praise and pics on a [...]

It’s been a weekend of “crazy smiles” for Michael Lau fans as more and more images of CSBOOTH15 [tagged] hit the Internets. Continuing on from this morning’s Submilgaytona + M.F.J.K. post, here’s the 411 on the known figures. First off, there’s the Stanley Kubrick-inspired Gardeners: 2bb1, Black White Orange and Fat West Jacket. These are [...]

First thought: a cruel PhotoShop prank. Second thought: collaboration of the year. Final thought: tribute. This weekend, the above images [source = Tomm] made the Internet rounds. They prophesized a sample figure “not for sale only for you” bearing the initials M.F.J.K. Quick thinkers interpreted the code as Michael Lau, Futura, James Jarvis and [...]

It was only last month that I was feeling skeptical of Michael Lau and all his tributes, but as each CSBOOTH15 figure teaser dropped, I began to reverse my opinion. Now I sit in front of my screen contemplating the whole series [tagged] in awe and appreciation. Following in the dust of two Stanley [...]

Michael Lau has dropped another teaser for CSBOOTH15 [tagged], and in addition to an athlete and an astronaut, we’ve now got an anti-hero. This A Clockwork Orange figure is the second Stanley Kubrick homage to be revealed for the upcoming CSBOOTH15 show. This is also the second burst of Clockwork inspiration for Lau who previously [...]

The latest figure teaser for Michael Lau’s CSBOOTH15 squelches popular Internet rumors that the show will be all about the sports crossovers. “2bb1″ is a nod to Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 A Space Odyssey. With the astronaut-inspired costume being a departure from past urban threads, Michael may be moving in a more sci-fi direction. Afterall, in [...]

Official news of Michael Lau’s upcoming exhibition, CSBOOTH15 has hit the Internet. Like last year’s CSBOOTH14, there should be Nike crossover toys. 2007’s exhibition saw Lau offer 3 paintings at a price of $25,000 USD each. According to Crazymaster 0709 on the CrazyToyz forum, there will be more paintings this year and Lau will be [...]
