Even if you’re not the biggest James Jarvis collector, I can see how you could be inspired to drop some coin on this Amos Toys x Silas Martin X SE vinyl figure. The SE stands for “Special Edition,” and in this case the warm fuzzies are dedicated to Bounty Hunter, who helped produce the original [...]

A pretty exciting find on the Internet for an otherwise unremarkable Thursday morning: Instinct Toy just posted pictures of their series of new gas mask figures here. What lacks in Google translation is certainly made up for in gloriously detailed full turnarounds. Each figure appears to be a tribute to or revision on a previously released figure from another company--notably Bounty Hunter.

If Bounty Hunter is always killing it with his cereal-themed toys, would it make you vomit in your mouth a little if I called BxH a cereal killer? OK don’t answer that. But today’s mail brought a missive from Ruru of AROFOS giving me a heads up to the latest version of Bounty Hunter’s cereal-spawned [...]

I spotted this new colorway of Bounty Hunter x Secret Base DX Sukeru Kun figure on the AROFOS blog. Looks like the detailed translucent vinyl figure will only be available at stores like Arofos and AES and as part of the current BxH Exhibition in Taiwan. The Skull-kun is a tribute to the Cyborg and [...]

Remember these BxH Kumaru-Kun tease shirts? While I was enjoying a labor day weekend far away from the computer, Bounty Hunter put up pics and info of the highly-anticipated Kumaru-Kun figure on his website. Kumaru-Kun will drop September 6th (and predictably promptly sell out) at Bounty Hunter dealers. Coincidentally, September 6th also marks the [...]

Toy fans in Taiwan will be treated to what sounds like an excellent exhibition by Bounty Hunter. Relying heavily on my Google translation of a press release from Taiwanese toy shop AROFOS, the Japanese BxH brand is very popular in the apparel sector, but they feel that Bounty Hunter’s toy designs are underrepresented. To that [...]

I saw this unfinished House Industries x Bounty Hunter Jack the Fox collab prototype on Clutter. I tried to dig around to find more info, but mostly I got hung up on all the great fonts and played around with the LetterSetter. House33 seems to be the apparel/retail arm of fontmasters, House Industries. I found a [...]

Who doesn’t love Star Wars? If there is someone out there who doesn’t, well, I don’t want to meet them. Dov Kelemer and Sarah Jo Marks of DKE Toys are paying tribute to this beloved cultural phenomenon with the Vader Project where a wide (and a should add, amazing) variety of artists are customizing a [...]

Every year, fanboys and fangirls of varying stripes descend on San Diego for Comic-Con. Although the event has extensive programming, there’s one activity that unites the collectors with the cosplayers, the MMP gamers with the manga readers, the superheroes with the steampunks: the pursuit of SDCC’s exclusive toys. ToyCyte will be publishing a weekly bulletin of [...]

Oh no they didn’t! Making my job choosing five SDCC ‘08 exclusives each week even that much more difficult is the latest revelation from STRANGEco: a gray Amos Toys edition of the Bounty Hunter x James Jarvis King-Kun collab. A limited number of the standard black King-Kun colorway, which sold out immediately in Japan and [...]

Even at $285 USD, the coveted Bounty Hunter x James Jarvis King-Kun (above left) available at Knunt (blogged) sold out. But it’s back in stock. They’ve got brand new sealed-in-bag 7.5″ King-Kun figures (above left) going for $285 again here. That’s not all though. The Tokyo-based Knunt, which has a way of making toys [...]

These are the first “in-hand” images I’ve seen of a bagged Bounty Hunter X James Jarvis King-Kun. Knunt.com is a Tokyo-based retailer that scours various festivals, markets, Japanese shopping web sites, and Japan-only mail order items and wholesalers to bring you items you thought you’d never see again from the likes of Bounty Hunter, [...]

A huge two days for James Jarvis and Bounty Hunter fans, all of whom have been speculating about a potential collab for months. Was it going to be JJ X BH or JJ X Kaws? And then there was also that issue of the Michael Lau S.F.J.J. figure. But yesterday, James dropped this message on [...]
