I love zines. Back in the day, I did my own little zine, full of whatever I struck my fancy (oh and Frank Kozik just happened to do the cover of my first issue for me, which makes me pretty cool huh?). Those were carefree times, I was more concerned with content and having fun that doing silly things like paying bills and putting food on the table. Sigh. So I come to this with a really big soft spot for all things zine-ish. My heart raced when I got my hands on Super 7’s totally old school zeroxed and stapled fanzine, Destroy All Zines at the Super 7 Anniversary Party over the weekend. I couldn’t get on the Frogger or Ms. Pac Man but I got this! The zine includes an interview with Le Merde, Killer J, a awesome Kaiju playlist (Like Booska listens to the Lower Class Brats and GBH), and of course a word search! Oh and how can I forget to mention the color centerfold of breakdancing Kanegons! So awesome. Super 7 made 600 of this first issue and you can pick yours up at the Super 7 store in San Francisco.
