Summer Camp Grass Hut Style 2008

events

Summer day camp for me was pretty abysmal. I recognized that my parents deserved some time alone, but I couldn’t reconcile how that meant I had to go drink bug juice, play tetherball and make macaronicrafts with kids who were less than friendly. I thought, I’ll save you the price of a bottle of Banana Boat; just leave me in my room to draw and listen to the radio. But no such luck.

This from the Grass Hut, however, sounds different. Per their blog:

What is a Camp Scout?
Well…first off you get a bandana & an official patch (Dawn Riddle and Scrappers are the Scout Masters who designed all the patches and buttons.) for being a scout and you can earn buttons for doing certain things (biking, swimming, graffiti…). You also get a warm & fuzzy feeling knowing that you are totally living the heck out of life while you can. Trust us, being a Camp Scout is cool.
