Somewhere City Plastic

East meets west in this continued collab between New York’s Museum of Modern Art and San Francisco’s StrangeCo. Quoting from StrangeCo’s website, Somewhere City’s designer is Croatian-born, Goran Lelas:

an accomplished designer whose career spans fashion, illustration, children’s literature, product and costume design. Beginning in the Italian fashion industry, Lelas has developed a signature aesthetic that he has carried into sculpture, apparel and shoe design. Lelas has created costumes and puppetry for theater and opera.

His penchant for style and playfulness reflects in the Somewhere City figures.

Last year, they brought us a series of 6 interchangeable figures made of PVC plastic. Sold out at most toyshops, these guys are still available as 2 sets of 3 for $30 each at the MoMa store.

But maybe plastic pets are too “hard” for you? Rejoice! The first two Somewhere City plushes have just dropped. Memo Wee and Oink Le Rouge are 8″ tall and now available.
