action figures, custom

In the vast amount of time I spend trolling the Interweb for cool toys, I see a lot of Star Wars customs and (lately) a lot of steampunk. A lot of it is…eh. Not the case here. Not even close. Sillof ["Si" (like Psi or Sci-fi ) and "llof" (like cough or pilaf)] has merged Star Wars and steampunk into these crazy detailed customs. His latest work is a steampunk revisioning of The Empire Strikes Back.  It follows the popular Steampunk Star Wars line from the last CustomCon.

The line is 6” in scale and each figure was carefully sketched out and redesigned taking a few key classic elements of the original figures and blending them with classic steampunk elements and design. Says Sillof, “I have no formal art training. This is just my hobby that I do to relax.” Damn. My hobby that I do to relax just ends up giving me the munchies and a wicked case of paranoia. See more figures at Sillof’s website and the new line after the jump. [via Toy Cutter]
