action figures, custom

Speaking of customized toys, check out CustomCon 21 over at Joe Acevedo’s site. While the ever-expanding collecting of Justice League Unlimited-based figures is omnipresent, it’s absolutely worth noting that amazing customizer Sillof [tagged] has debuted his ‘Return of the Jedi’ steampunk set of toys, which includes the sexiest Slave Leia I’ve ever had the uncomfortable pleasure of admitting was sexy. It transforms McFarlane’s questionable ‘Dorothy’ figure into something outstanding and Victorian, while DC Direct’s Rogues Gallery Mr. Freeze becomes an amazing Wedge Antilles. And the red, velvety seat of that speeder bike? Words cannot express the comfort of darting through the forests of Endor while your buttocks are brushed with red velvet.

Not only are they beautiful, but they’re in 6″ scale, which is a scale that Star Wars has never been formally released in. How awesome would it be to have a Darth Vader poised in battle against an Iron Man? There are few things in this world I’d like to see: a government sponsored free sushi diet plan, a stand-up comic who is also an octopus, and a 6″ Star Wars line.
