Luke Feldman has a new blog with the latest SKAFFS news. If you’re in Hawaii tonight, you can catch him at a special live painting. You’ll also be able to see the prototype for his upcoming Maiko toy. His blog also shows previews of his future group shows. Luke Feldman is one of 12 artists participating in the weAREtheIMAGEmakers 12 x 12 group show. Twelve Australian artists were given twelve canvases measuring 12 x 12. I think it’s a great concept for a group exhibit. The 12 x 12 show will take place at two locations. On June 20th, it will open at the aMBUSH Gallery in Sydney. On July 18, it will open at the no vacancy gallery in Melbourne.

Feldman picked the Chinese Zodiac as the theme for his twelve pieces, and he posted a preview of Year of the Dragon. I love the sleeping baby dragon, and I think it’s a beautiful painting. I’m not just saying that because I was born in the year of the dragon. Keep checking his blog for more updates about his future work. I’m looking forward to seeing his other eleven paintings, and I can’t wait to see the finished Maiko toy.

I'm a nerd who loves music, movies, graphic novels, and of course toys. I grew up in Los Angeles, and I currently live in the non-plastic part of Orange County. I'm a sucker for anything that is little and cute: plushies, Dunnys, Smorkin' Labbits, zipper pulls. My collection is dominated by Kozik and Uglydolls, and my latest obsession is IWG/Rocket World.

I was very interested to hear about the forthcoming 12 x 12 exhibition. I am a member of the Twelve by Twelve Collaborative Art Quilt Project pursuing a similar approach in textiles. Check out our website and blog blog .
