kaiju, vinyl

Toy Punks are at it again. On the blog of Hiddy, founder of Secret Base, he states that the toy punks crew is in Japan working on their next volume in the vinyl underground documentary film “TOY PUNKS.” Their first film was a great hit, and I can guarantee that this next volume will be a hit also. In this photo from Hiddys blog, it seems that they are interviewing Devilock.

In other Secret Base news, they have released their new figure, Skull-Brain DBM Mask. This figure stands about 5 inches tall and comes with a removable mask. If you noticed, this figure was made as a tribute to one of the coolest vinyl toys out there, King Walder. Remove the mask and the head and you will find a plush inside the body representing the guts, just like the old 12-inch figure.

Lastly, it’s finally out!!! Have you been collecting all your Voodoos??? Not sure what I’m talking about. Well the guys at  Super7 have done it again. They have made a collaboration line up with Secret Base and were releasing SB figures with voodoo plushes inserted in their bodies. If you collected all the figures that were released, you are able to receive a special bonus figure in the end. And what is the bonus figure??? Skull Brain!!!! This guy is made out of clear vinyl and painted with a nice pale blue and red. The great thing about it is that this figure comes with the very first GID plush voodoo inside!!!  If you got the set I would think it’s best you contact Super7 right away!!!

This unknown figure loves the smell of fresh vinyl from the steaming hot molds. No matter if it's popular or not, he loves everything and almost anything related to Japanese vinyl. He lives underground but when new releases come out, he comes out of the shadows. As of now no one knows who this person is, but he likes it that way.
