ToyCyte: Toy Culture Collected

Anyone who’s been following Cris Rose’s Runcible figures will see that the last edition of the Runcible B has completely sold out from their exclusive retailer, They Walk Among Us – much to my chagrin and despite an economy that’s apparently collapsing in upon itself. I say that if we can afford a flower-headed robot, things can’t be all that bad.

Rose devotees will also notice that his mini, Rotund version of the Runcible B recently received a pink makeover, as revealed by Flickr. This unique, 1/1 C006 Rotund Longtail is meant to serve as a companion to the larger Runcible, and has the unique feature of extra-long arms, which will not be present in the final edition of this smaller figure.

Unfortunately, if you want to own this piece, you’ll have to hunt down the Flickr user who scooped the little guy up, and while I’m not advocating covetous violence…. I’ll just stay out of this. Rose promises that the Runcible A will be out before too long, and I’m tingly with the chance to finally own one.
