Beyond Toys

Here’s something great that arrived in the inbox this morning. Ruby Re-Usable sent us news of her Recycled Art Rabbit Redux which is currently available from her Etsy store. The WonderBunny is made from reused plastic Wonderbread bags courtesy of her sons, stuffed with resused bubble wrap and held together by clear packing tape. Says Ruby: “Wonder Bunny also wants to remind you to reduce, reuse, and recycle those plastic bags!” And I want to remind you that lots of people buy rabbits for Easter and then abandon them when the novelty wears off. Domestic bunnies do very  lousy in the wild or on suburban streets. It’s really inhumane, actually. So, this year, get yourself a WonderBunny instead. Ruby also makes WonderBabies and other characters on request.
