You’re going to have to do your own coloring to match this Boston installation, but Ron English’s Abraham Obama poster (originally a limited edition for Upper Playground, which historically dropped the day Obama clinched the Democratic party nomination) has now been made into an open edition. While the limited screen print had a pricetag of $200, this 25″ x 37″ licensed poster from Jet-Set Graffiti can be yours for only $20. Between these posters and the Project Colorize billboards, you’ll be seeing a lot of Ron English around town. Be a part of the campaign. I’m waiting on its arrival, but I’ll be representing with Alex Pardee’s Obama.
Click through for a pic of the open-edition poster and a video of the paste-up installation. [via Upper Playground and OMGPosters]

Just like the giant idol worship of Saddam, Marx, Castro and Chairman Mao!
Amazing how people will go right down the path of totalitarianism again.
“Hey, lets just give B. Hussein ALL the power so we don’t even have to vote anymore. Pass the bong!”

Obama’s Presidential approval rating is up there with President Bush’s after 9/11 – there’s nowhere to go but DOWN!

Absolutely idiotic. How do you turn your country into a banana republic overnight? Paint and post icons of el presidente all over the public square.
Well guess what idiots? You’re “offended” by the manger in the public square? I am OFFENDED by this idiotic idol worship of a done-nothing
community organizer who is being likened to LINCOLN!#$!^#!^!!@#$^#
Lincoln!! Are you kidding?
Post the address of this installation so I can spray paint over it.

We’re doomed. A no-accomplishment Chicago hack politician is being compared to one of our greatest presidents?! Based on what? Name one similarity, other than “thin” and “a mole on his face”.
