Beyond Toys, designers

Ray-Ban Wayfarers have become one of the most iconic sunglasses in the world, so a collab with iconic pop artists only makes sense. This spring Ray-Ban and Marie Claire partnered to launch Project Colorize, a new line of colored Wayfarers in collaboration with five NYC artists. The collection is “inspired by the season’s fashion trends: Day-Glo, Floral, Painterly and Tailored.” Artists includes: Toofly, Tara McPherson, Queen Andrea, Ron English and Scott Alger. Billboards of the artwork will be plastered across Manhattan next month, and Marie Claire includes short interviews with the artists. If you can’t bring yourself to cop a mag with Sarah Jessica Parker’s mug on the cover, click on these images (scanned by Toofly) and squint hard. I’m guessing Hana’s going to get a pair of the Tara McPherson shades! [Via Freshness]
