Raving Rabbids Become Real

Even if you’re not a video gamer, you’ve probably met the Rabbids somewhere. Having sprung from the Rayman series of video games, the Rabbids have all but overtaken titular character in popularity. The Rabbids are nearly infinite in variety, Noid-like in their insanity, and they’re ideal toy forms. And they have a game where you belch competitively. Some things should be kept to good ol’ meatspace.

Coinciding with the recent November 14th release date of the Raving Rabbids TV Party video game, Ubisoft also released a boxed set of five various Rabbids – smiling, screaming, Sam Fisher, Altair (from Assassin’s Creed), and a blank Rabbid. If that doesn’t scream ‘custom toy extravaganza’, I’m not sure what does. These join a small group of previously released Rabbids which were given out to friends of Ubisoft and retailers, including a Prince of Persia Rabbid.

Customizers can still score a blank vinyl Rabbid from Ubi’s shop for about $25 and shipping from the UK. This could be an excellent platform – anyone want to organize a show?

you know, I’d probably grab a couple of these if it weren’t for all that paint I’d end up throwing in the trash…
