Much in the way of Ron English news came out over the holiday break. MINDstyle continues to prove itself peerless with this preview of an upcoming mini-figure set featuring many of Ron’s iconic characters. One of the figures is expected to lead the pack with a January release, while the other figures are set to follow in April. Meanwhile, Ron is embarking on an Asian tour with stops in Hong Kong and the Philippines. This Saturday, January 10th, Ron makes a stop at Fresh Manila, where from 7PM on, he’ll be signing bronze and green Abraham Obama busts (50 pieces of each color at $200 each) and rainbow Abraham Obama prints (edition of 20).

Next, on January 13th, Ron hits up the Garageworks Gallery for a private exhibition and toy release of his Charlie GRIN figure. He will be showing original sculptures and sketches, as well as a prototype from the Popaganda  mini-figure series. If you’re in Hong Kong, you can catch Ron signing between 4-6PM and 8-11PM.
