Beyond Toys, designers

Sunny posted news of Dooperdoo in June, and finally, Play Imaginative’s t-shirt shop is open for business. Dooperdoo is offering mens and womens shirts and jackets by Cupco, Devilrobots, Happy Tree Friends, Jon Burgerman, KOA, Shin Tanaka, Tik Ka, TADO and Kenny B. They haven’t spared the flourishes, and each item includes fine details like velvet transfer, an embroidered artist’s signature and their trademark back v-cut. There are definitely some great designs here, and Dooperdoo is encouraging your order by providing a free tote bag by one of the artists and free shipping with the purchase of 3 items. This is all cool, but the troubling part is that each t-shirt costs $40. If you don’t get three shirts, you’re going to be paying $18 USD to have a single shirt shipped from Singapore. On the other hand, if you want the free shipping and the tote, you’ve just spent $120 on t-shirts. Anybody local want to do a group order? Gas prices are coming down; I’ll drive yours to you.
