ToyCyte: Toy Culture Collected

Master-customizer (who is soon to release some original toys), Phu!, is sending in the troops to tonight’s custom Mad*L show at LIFT. As usual, Phu! combines debris into details: The 10-inch platform figure was enhanced with cardboard, cable ties, brass rivets, broken toy parts, disposable plastic spoons, hose clamps, felt, googles, plastic beads, bottle caps and hoses, rubber, wire and more. Check out Phu’s Mad*L in the company of Mad*Ls by MAD, Attaboy, Dril One, Jesse Hernandez, Mist, Tilt, Scribe, Urban Medium, Tristan Eaton, Doktor A, Brandt Peters, Huck Gee, Sket One, Motorbot, Cris Rose, kaNO, Sket One, Phetus, Betso, Dead Presidents, Glenn Barr, Brent Nolasco, Kathie Olivas, Okkle, Southern Drawl,  Dead Presidents, Nakanari, Jim Koch, Slobot, Squidnik, Patrick Francisco, Southern Drawl, Dr. Bao/NVC Crew, Cameron Teide, Angry Woebots,  Reactor88, Julie West, Leecifer Michael Motorcycle and more from 7-10PM tonight at LIFT in Detroit (and afterward on plentiful Flickr photo-streams, surely).
