Kaws marked his return to the formal art scene with his much-blogged Saturated show at Miami’s Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin this weekend. I would have liked to be there to see the Smurfs and Spongebobs and to try to pop off a question or two to Brian D himself, but I was quite happily supporting the local arts scene at the MixtART and Shawnimals events in San Francisco (photos forthcoming). Because of the huge timesuck, I mean space/time continuum-buster that is the Internet, we can all catch a glimpse of Saturated thanks to pics from Supertouch and HypeBeast, the latter of which also has that Blog “benefit” of commenters–many of whom (anonymously of course) have some choice words for KAWS’ work. A couple of photos pilfered from previously mentioned sites follow…
