ToyCyte: Toy Culture Collected

In perhaps the absolute worst case of ‘maybe that word means something different in your language’, Coolrain is now offering up pre-orders for their new, handmade ‘Monsterz Crew’ figures, Andy and…. I’m blushing…. P-nix. One can only cast wild conjecture around about how this young gent earned such a name. Even if my name was Wang P. Cocker, I’d probably prefer the latter.

Both Andy and P-nix are extremely limited to ten each, and like the rest of the 17 members of the Monsterz Crew, are decked out in urban Nike attire. Because of the handmade, branded nature of the articulated, large figures, they’ll cost a whopping $700 each, which is hardcore dedication to the whole Nike thing. P-nix, oh poor P-nix, has the added aesthetic pleasure of being done up entirely in grey tones, which is something I’m a huge fan of. I imagine that these guys might stand up well next to Ash Wood’s Tomorrow Kings figures.
