Okay, owls are creepy. In some cultures, they are considered to be a sign of bad things to come (death) but others see them as cute and cuddly and more a harbinger of lucky. This Saturday Michelle Valigura opens her much anticipated solo show at the M Modern in the weekender mecca Palm Springs. One of the items that will be available is a Michelle Valigura designed metal owl and were made in collaboration with metal kings Fully Visual and Michelle and Amanda Visell’s company Switcharoo.
The hoo=hooters are two inches tall and come with five different eye options. The owls come, perched I’d assume, on some special hand embellished pieces of wood. And the piece is crazily limited. Only fifty of this metal bird will be released into the wild. You can get yours from M Modern. I didn’t see it on their site today but you can probably shoot them a line or check when the show launches to see if they’re ready to fly away home, to you that is.
