The occasionally weird, cold aesthetic of Germany makes its way into the cold, weirder aesthetic of the New York City winter with graphic artist Dust’s ‘AlterEGO’ figure, which’ll be sold at the humble booth of MPH (#866), along with their plethora of other exclusives. East Coast represent! Suck it, SDCC! You tan bastards with your comic conventions during reasonable seasons.

After a few experimental colorways, as profiled previously here on ToyCyte, NYCC is getting an exclusive run of ten handmade, handpainted ‘Concrete’ colorway AlterEGOs. Vaguely anthropomorphic, this combination of form and color reminds me of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko’s 1964 ‘Mindless Ones’ monsters – because I’m a huge, unrepentant geek. These 3″ mini-monoliths will sell for $75 each. Buy all ten and you’re halfway to some kind of bizarre, druidic ceremonial display, perfect for both telling the time and sacrificing virgins. Also, NYCC will have plenty of virgins.

All of this begs the question… are those rocks flashing gang signs at me?
