Oh, that Erick Scarecrow, most ridiculously prolific and diverse of all toy artisans. Mad props go to you.

Mr. Scarecrow will have a huge showing at the upcoming NYCC with – count ‘em – three super exclusives at his booth, #864. First among them is the Muraida Magma, the spraycan-run-amuck vinyl figure that’s already seen a few colorways. This time, the 10″ figure is in a flowing mixture of reds and yellows, limited to 200 and will set you back $50. Those of us who collect figures of spraycan characters will note that this is the second one available at NYCC, the first being the GID Bodega.

Next up is the ‘Black Mamba’ Medusa colorway, which measures 10.5″, is limited to 500 and will cost $55. This’ll be the first iteration of the Medusa figure, and you can see the heavy manga / anime influence already. And a clear view of that whole underboob thing goin’ on, which I never object to.

The third piece is a perfect companion to Medusa – the Medusa Stone Shitake vinyl figure. A scant 3″ tall and limited to only 50 pieces, the little guy is handpainted, signed and numbered. Additionally, it’s the least expensive show exclusive I’ve seen so far at only $15.

The ESC himself will be there for all three days, and signings at his booth will happen each day, running from noon until 4 PM on Friday, and 10 AM until 4 PM on Saturday and Sunday, So, go and meet the man himself, so dedicated to his art that he’s apparently chained himself to his booth for the entirely of the con. I hope he brings a sandwich.
