STRANGEco just posted two new creatures from the design mind of Greg “Craola” Simkins.

  • Cap’n Rotnclaw – Red version. With working claws for extra scuttling poseability and menace. Limited to 600 pieces. Rotocast vinyl. 7 inches tall. Window box packaging. Begins shipping in early October 2008.
  • Keel Haul Cleg – Black version. With working claws for extra scuttling poseability and menace. Keel Haul Cleg is Cap’n Rotnclaw’s pachyderm doppelganger: are they ever patrolling the foc’sle during the same scurvy voyage? Limited to 700 pieces. Rotocast vinyl. 7 inches tall. Window box packaging. Begins shipping in early October 2008.

Fine artist Greg Simkins was born and raised in Torrance, California, just south of Los Angeles. His artistic career began after being introduced to spray paint in 1993, when he took on the name “Craola” and began to be known as a street artist throughout the greater Los Angeles area. It was through spray paint that his style transitioned into the use of acrylic paints which led him to create the color combinations and blending techniques intrinsic to his painting style.
