NECA’s Exorcist Spiderwalk Regan Action Figure

action figures

You know what would be funny? If you met someone on Craigslist or some dating site and everything was going really well, such that you actually made it into her/his bedroom and then you look over at the nightstand and BAM, they’ve got Regan from the Exorcist spiderwalking by the bedside. It wouldn’t be “funny haha” for you (more like “funny strange” and “maybe I should be going now”), but it does make for a good story to tell your friends who always told you not to Internet date anyway.

In 1973, the Exorcist redefined the horror genre and while Linda Blair got an A for effort, her film career never really went beyond the B’s. Meanwhile, her spiderwalk stance was bootlegged all over the place in films like The Grudge. So the folks at NECA thought it time to honor Regan by letting her possession become your possession. The Spider Walk Regan 7-inch action figure balances on her head and hair to recreate the notorious spiderwalk scene (see below). Regan comes with a detailed staircase display base and multiple points of articulation, including a ball-jointed neck (for 360 degree turns!), swivel forearms and swivel legs. Expected to be available in July for about $15 wherever action figures are sold. [source: Nerd Approved]

That pretty much gurantees I’m having nightmares tonight. I still think it’s one of the best horror movies of all time.

Ha, Did you watch the YouTube clip? There’s so many more “advanced” gory films, but there’s something so unnatural about the spiderwalk; it’s the OG creepy.
