My Paper Crane: Show and Pre-Sale

events, plush

Plush artist Heidi Kenney will have a solo show at Schmancy Gallery in Seattle. “If You Lived Here You Would Be Home By Now” will features her newest plush creations on Friday, August 8th. Opening reception will take place 6-9pm, and they’ll have baked goods. I’ve been following her blog, and she often posts pictures of her cooking. I’d be excited about free baked goodies at an art show.

Schmancy Gallery is currently having a pre-sale of the plush you’ll see at the show. You can preview the images here and contact the gallery directly to purchase any of the pieces. For the show, Kenney will also debut some special plush not shown in the preview. All of her plush dolls are hand-made, so they’re all one-of-a-kind. I like her quirky take on a “bird house.”

I'm a nerd who loves music, movies, graphic novels, and of course toys. I grew up in Los Angeles, and I currently live in the non-plastic part of Orange County. I'm a sucker for anything that is little and cute: plushies, Dunnys, Smorkin' Labbits, zipper pulls. My collection is dominated by Kozik and Uglydolls, and my latest obsession is IWG/Rocket World.
