Thanks to spies good folks like “naughtyguy9394″ on Hong Kong forums like Uwants, we can all have a look at the Medicom Toy Exhibition 2008. While there were many Kubricks and Be@rbricks to ogle, as a child of the ’80s, I was naturally drawn to the retrobricks: Ghostbusters and Care Bears. Now Ghostbusters and Care Bears completists (is there such a thing?) will note that neither is a full representation of the cast. For instance, you can get Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer, but no Gozer. And as far as the Care Bears go, there’s Cheer Bear, Good luck Bear, Funshine Bear, Love-a-Lot Bear, Wish Bear and Bedtime Bear, but the most important bear, Grumpy Bear didn’t make the cut. Oh well, I guess you’ll just have to sit there and give it the old “Care Bear Stare” until series 2 materializes. (P.S. I consulted this image for the Care Bear names. Although I wouldn’t mind if you thought it, I didn’t happen to just know them offhand.)
