ToyCyte: Toy Culture Collected

I’m pretty excited about the Multiple Personalities 2 show at Royal Oak’s LIFT Gallery, happening in just over a week from now on May 9th – not only has it attracted some fine-ass customizers, but I get to be a part of it. While I work my butt off to get ready for it, I’m ogling the awesome works of my fellow contributors.

tyleR, as always, has done something a little mind-destroying with this blue-faced, gentle custom of his own original Mutt form. The texture on this guy is almost too much to comprehend – it’s like it was just born this way.

RSIN’s MadL is something of a mad scientist, or a pirate, or a rasta treasure chest. I dig the raised work framing the face, and the slightly steampunk aesthetic on the rest of the guy. Keep an eye out for the mighty RSIN in late May, when he’ll be doin’ up a custoMONDAY right here on ToyCyte!

Alarment hits the whole ‘Multiple Personalities’ theme on home with this triple-faced Dunny that reminds me of Morphine’s ‘Early to Bed’ video, but even more bizarre (if at all possible). Tremendous sculpting work.
