Steve from Shoparooni just sent us some plushform previews from the upcoming Midwest Plushform Show [tagged]. The reveals include softies by ToyCyte homies Phoebe Marie (in collaboration with Rancid) and Chris Ryniak, as well as innovative submissions by Cheryl Andrey, Craig Tucker and Sean Mahan. The 1st Annual Midwest Plushform Show is hosted by Shoparooni and Carol & John’s Comics and takes place from November 7th until November 29th at the two aforementioned locations in Cleveland. The show will open at Shoparooni on Friday, November 7th from 8-11PM, and at Carol & John’s on Saturday, November 8th from 8-1PM. Both shows will close on Saturday, November 29th, from 8-11PM.The Plushform is a blank, do-it-yourself plush figure made of a primed, canvas-like material intended to be customized by any means necessary! Artists can use paint, markers, pens, applique, and pretty much any other material to customize their Plushform, making an a work of art in cute plushie form! The Plushform Show will be used as a fundraiser for noted charity “Toys For Tots,” with 50% of all proceeds from the show being used to purchase toys to donate to Toys For Tots. www.midwestplushformshow.com has details about the show, a running list of confirmed artists, sponsor information, and all other information about the show.
