Michael Lau has dropped another teaser for CSBOOTH15 [tagged], and in addition to an athlete and an astronaut, we’ve now got an anti-hero. This A Clockwork Orange figure is the second Stanley Kubrick homage to be revealed for the upcoming CSBOOTH15 show. This is also the second burst of Clockwork inspiration for Lau who previously customized a sabot shown here.
A Clockwork Orange is clearly a book that resonates with designers in the vinyl community. Frank Kozik continues to release toys inspired by the Anthony Burgess novel (see below), and in fact named his company, Ultraviolence, after a term from the book.
And I recently wrote up a cool A Clockwork Orange colorway on an upcoming figure from Patricio Oliver.
Well, even if the world is on Orange Alert and the market has some Clockwork Saturation, you’ll still need plenty of cutter to kupet this malchick from Michael Lau when CSBOOTH15 opens July 15th.
