Mother Nature can sure be voth cruel and random. As I sit here typing from the Bay Area where we haven’t had more than a drop of rain since April, China is bracing for the Category 8 Tropical Storm Nuri. In consideration for everyone’s safety, both MINDstyle’s “This One’s For the Children of Sichuan” auction and Michael Lau’s CSBOOTH15.5 have been rescheduled. Although it’s not at all in the same ballpark, this is probably good for Michael Lau fans living in dry climates with dry wallets from the past couple weeks of CSBOOTH15 figure drops. CSBOOTH15.5 offers another colorway of the JORDON chase figure, but unfortunately the symbolism of the previous date, August 23rd, must be replaced with a less symbolic August 30th.
Of additional interest to Michael Lau fans: Michael donated a special M.F.J.K. Submilgaytona watch set with sketch and signed DJ Panda prototype for the charity auction. As an idea, the watch set alone sold for $600 USD from Ningyoushi. With the sketch, the figure and the fact that this is for earthquake victims, consider bidding as high as you can afford!
