Marc Jacobs x KAWS = The Special Edition Mouse Flat

Beyond Toys, designers

Fashion powerhouse Marc Jacobs has teamed up with toy powerhouse Kaws to create a pair of iconic Marc Jacobs Mouse Flats. This collaboration was to celebrate ten years of the Jacobs Mouse flat, part of the fashion designers roster year after year, season after season. There have been many incarnations (silver leather, jelly plastic, Minnie Mouse-ish) of these rodent tribute shoes, but these are the hippest by far. They feature a sleek patent leather, pink scalloped edges and of course Kaws’s ubiquitous Xs for eyes.

But don’t get your hopes up on acquiring a pair for you or your girl. There will only be two hundred pairs available worldwide. The shoes were made available to customers at Colette (in Paris), Original Fake in Tokyo and the Marc Jacobs stores in London and New York. Just like anything Kaws puts his name on, they undoubtedly flew right off the shelves.
