Remember local artist Kirkland Jue’s Pimpmeister Many Mey custom? It was one of the straight-up sickest customs I’ve ever seen, and it looks like the stars have aligned that I’m going to get to see it in person. The Popsoda 6th Anniversary Dynamite Custom Show began in Tokyo and will end in Osaka. For the longest time, it had an undisclosed American stop in the middle. Then it went to New York, and I thought, all was lost for us west-coasters. Alas! Perhaps Super7 scored the locale because Brian Flynn customized a piece?  Or maybe it’s just been Super7’s  support of so many artists and companies involved in the scene/event that cemented the deal.  Either way, the show hits the Super7 store from February 21st through February 25th. There are way to many awesome artists involved to list, but here’s a few: L’amour Supreme, Dead Presidents, Paul Kaiju, realxhead, Mishka, Blobpus, Suckadelic, MCA and Mad Barbarians. You can see some great photos of what’s in store in this post at Kirkland’s blog. A handful of preview photos below from Super7.  Come to think of it,   Itokin Park also hits up Super7 on February 21st. Guaranteed to be a crazy night for art toy afficianados and those who appreciate fine custom craft.
