If you spied images of the Dolbee Compact Characters that were floating around a while back, like Jeremy’s write-up, Dolbee Makes Me Nostalic for My Walkman, and you wanted, nay needed, one, well here’s your chance. Originally the items were only available in the United Kingdom with tie-ins in conjunction with the All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival and Don’t Look Back concerts. There was the Portishead design by Mad*L (365 made), Kathie Olivas for the Pitchfork Media Festival (366 made) and Michael Motorcycle’s Jive Turkey piece for the an event in Minehead, UK (366 made). All were produced by MAD’s toy/design company.

But now, you, in the comfort of your own home, without jumping on a British Airways flight, can get your own Dolbee directly from New York based Toytokyo. The five-inch cassette tape shaped Dolbee comes in an old school boom box shaped box. For $39.99 you’ll be tuned in.
