Le Merde Presents Let’s Get Turdical

San Francisco’s Super7 presents Let’s Get Turdical, a new show from Portland-based artist Mike Kelly aka Le Merde. His work ranges from paintings and sculpture to hand cast figures and clear kaiju. He draws inspiration from pop-culture, heavy metal music, 1970’s cartoon characters and collaborations with other members of the art collective Grass Hut.
Let’s Get Turdical opens Saturday, May 3rd at 7PM and runs through May 31st. I’ll be at The Maker Faire this weekend so I’ll miss the opening, unfortunately. But I’ll get over to Super7 before month’s end and bring you some snaps. In the meantime, check out Le Merde’s Flickr photo sneak peak here.
