As far as east coast show, Kathie Olivas‘ Uninvited Guests at NYC’s My Plastic Heart is one of the most anticipated this month. Pity it’s on the same night as Jailbreak’s Art + Action = Obama show, but luckily our intrepid East Coast reporter Saki is going to attempt to make the great schlep (shout out to Sarah Silverman) to both events. Although seeing Kathie’s pieces in person is the best way, MPH has an online preview available for fans. In order to give fans a chance to purchase her work–which has a habit of selling out fast–I can’t publish the link. However, I can tell you that Kathie’s going to be showing some great oils on canvas, acrylics on wood, hand-painted Benny and Redbirds and custom Munnys, Dunnys, Mad*ls and Scavengers. Prices for vinyl figures range from $250 for a custom Redbird to $950 for a Benny and Redbird set. Most of the vinyl is currently sold or on hold.
