papercraft

Yesterday I wrote about the Mochi’s available at the MOMA in conjunction with the Destination: Japan show happening there. When checking out all the other goodies that I could spend my tax refund on, I spotted the Kami-Robo Paper Robots by Tomohiro Yasui. These are colorful replicas of the Kami-Robo’s that Yasui has been creating since 1982, each with their own name, characteristics and skills. These durable creations are made of paper, wire, plastic and glue and are ready for the ring, perhaps for recreating an intricate paper robot wrestling matches as seen here. Each Kami-Robo is sold individually and the character you get will be selected for you.
