Jon Burgerman Apple Laptop, iPod and iPhone Sleeves

Beyond Toys, designers

Jon Burgerman just dropped two collabs with French sleevemasters, Côte et Ciel. He has an ultra-exclusive MacBook sleeve and an iPhone/iPod Touch case. The MacBook sleeve is available in three sizes MacBook Air: 32.5 x 24cm, MacBook: 34 x 24.5cm and MacBook 15-inch: 36 x 26cm. Actually, strong and fast interest rendered the MacBook Pro sleeves sold out. I was slow to do the metrics, but my Dell Inspiron e1405 with which I type this post measures 33 x 24.3cm. Based on the measurements of the actual Apple laptops, I think my Dell is too tight a squeeze for this case.

The laptop sleeves are made out of neoprene laminated with jersey with a multicolor print overlayed. There is no zipper, no scratching, easy handling and a snug fit (if you’ve got one of the aforementioned Macs). The iPod/iPhone cases are made from rubber with neatly molded buttons and injection molded multicolor characters. They are available in three styles: Oranges, Anton, Blues for the iPod Touch and iPhone only (first and second generation models will both fit). Nothing from Jon for my Samsung cellphone no one’s ever heard of let alone my “ancient artifact” 4th Generation Clickwheel iPod (though you can still get hooked up with a Joe Lebetter Gelaskin or an Alex Pardee DiNG). If it’s not enough to covet the newest technology, these designers have gotta dress up your gadgets in must-have accessories! Damn them and love them.

Maybe you can write off a laptop sleeve as a tax deduction…you know to keep your work equipment safe…? Price of the laptop sleeves is £45. Recorded Postage within the UK = £5; within Europe = £8.50; outside of Europe = £10.50.
