designers, events

John K. at VTN In my VTN roundup, I neglected to include a picture of the talented John K., creator of Ren and Stimpy. I only have the blurry picture you see here. He spent most of the afternoon creating caricatures for his fans. Every time I circled his booth, there was a long line of fans waiting for their turn.

You can see some of the caricatures on his blog. He also has a funny tidbit about the “verbal caricature.”

If you’re interested in layout or background art, check out his latest entries. He has a great series all about layout and background composition.

I'm a nerd who loves music, movies, graphic novels, and of course toys. I grew up in Los Angeles, and I currently live in the non-plastic part of Orange County. I'm a sucker for anything that is little and cute: plushies, Dunnys, Smorkin' Labbits, zipper pulls. My collection is dominated by Kozik and Uglydolls, and my latest obsession is IWG/Rocket World.
